Math Curse art history
Art history: Louisa Nevelson was born in 1899; she was one of the most prominent sculptors of her time. Her sculptures included wood assemblages typically painted in either jet black or, later, in white and gold as well, ranged in size from the small and personal to the large and monumental, In the 1930's she came a cross the artist Hans Hoffman, In Munich, Germany. She studied under his direction and was greatly influenced by African masks and sculptures on display in Paris in 1931.
Artist intent:
My artist intent with this piece was to recreate one of Louise Nevelson sculptures. i recreated her world in a box piece putting my world or equation of my life at this moment into a more literal and less abstract form. This is why I used litteral objest in the box.

My 100 pice
This is my Hundreds pice its a mixture of colors that have been based on the 5 primary colors (black, white, red, yellow, and blue) and all though the intent was 100 colors so far there are about 49 colors.
for this pice my influential artists were Jackson Pollock and Morris Louis. I used Jackson Pollock's use
of color and technique of splatter painting because it seamed
like the most fun and less time consuming technique but instead of using a paint brush to splatter the paint
I replaced the paint brush for 49 squirt bottles and diluted the paint with water to make it easier to squirt out of the bottle. This is a Morris Louis technique.
